The petition looks great! I'm languishing in the queue since March 02 (PD early 2002). No IO is willing to listen to anything about my case. Sometimes I hink we should meet up with USCIS director and explain how unfair the whole system works and how individual cases have suffered!

Ok Here goes:
1) Go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp
2) Click on "To register as an applicant customer click here."
3) Accept the Terms and Conditions
4) Enter the information CORRECTLY.
5) Once done enter your I-140 SRC, LIN etc number without dashes by adding a case.
6) Either immediately or after a day or so, IF there is an update on ur I-140 LUD you will see it.

I have tried to explain the general approach taken by an American System in another forum. The moral of it is that don't think that someone (USCIS/senator/congressperson) does not know what they are doing. They know what they are doing and will continue doing it unless someone kicks their ass.
As an example, White House did not do the right thing with a Canadian citizen by sending him to his contry where he was tortured (the story was on last week; the person got millions from Canadian Govt). So far Republicans did not care about it. Last week a democratic committee chewed Gonzales's (in charge of USCIS also) ass. He said he will provide evidence soon.
I have been in similar situations where I have to do things not liked by some persons. I just act dumb and keep doing what I have to do unless someone much higher up chews my ass.
This is standard American procedure.

Dear friends, as I read all of your stories, I cannot help but relate it to mine. Even as I write this though, I am in the middle of a dilemma - I am being offered a promotion to a Director position and I cannot decide whether to accept it or not.
I have been in the US for over eight years on an H1 and have been working for a Fortune 20 firm as a Manager for the last four. My company applied for my Labor Cert back in Dec 2002 and while it cleared State in May 2003, the application was stuck in Federal processing for more than a year. Just as it seemed like they were getting to applications that had been transferred in during May 2003, the BEC took over and I literally felt like the rug had been pulled from under my feet! It's been almost two years since then, but I have seen no progress at all - zero, nada, zilch!
Meanwhile, I have been working hard at my company sorting my way through leadership changes, reorgs and changes in vision and strategy. While all of my colleagues and friends were applying to new positions and getting promoted, I lay low. Four years in the same job - I can tell you that is a looooong time! It isn't just that work starts to become a drag but also life itself seems to be in limbo and the frustration of the wait starts to spill over into personal life.
I got married two years ago and my wife, bless her heart, has been making a valiant effort to keep busy and pursue other interests, since she is on H-4. However, I know she can't wait to start working.
As all of you know, it takes a lot to succeed in the US economy and be recognized, but I have worked hard. Not only have I paid taxes for 8 years, but I also feel like I have paid my dues. I have an MBA from a top b-school and skills that are in demand. I cannot help but wonder, whether we are meant to waste our lives away?? You start feeling like a second-class human. I know I can always go back to my home country but I have invested a lot of my life here. We need justice!

Yes please do flip through the pages and confirm. I stated what i felt MS education and EB2 qualification. No amount of study will take the place of experience. This is what i felt and i will not back down from your EB2 crowd to say that. Now your response was flaming and i responded back

abolish per country limits on EB visas will back fire us because of diversity issue. We should propose some thing where there is no controversy to reject and that's is recapture 200K visas and EAD/APO for 3 years

No green card for you. Just work well for 6 years, enjoy life in US, enjoy sports cars by renting, not by buying, rent a big house, have a lawn and garden in back yard, grow your own vegetables. After 6 years, get nice job in India,own apartment near to office and ask your parents to live with you. Take kids to school . Have fun with them. My heartiest congratulations to IV and Core. Over the last 2 weeks I found that IV was the most reliable and quickest in giving us information.
I have a question for IV , is there a possibility of increasing annual GC quota or atleast reusing unused Visas from previous years.

I just want to generate enough internet chatter so that the issue of substitute labor will come on CIS radar. I know for sure that a huge fraud was perpetrated during July 07 fiasco by some unscrupulous consulting companies who sold pre-approvevd labors like frozen pizzas. Just heat and eat.
And I also know for sure that IV has gained enough publicity that CIS folks might be tempted to check it now and then. May be they will take notice of this thread and start investigation of all the subst labors.
I surely am pissed as hell on somebody who came to this country in 2007, and got his/her GC by paying money for some 1999 pre approved labor. I will fight on.

If you believe in law suit you can discuss with a lawyer and ask about feasiblity of lawsuit and pros and cons with potential expense. Most lawyers will not charge for initial consultation. That will be a good initiative.

Like in the movies Rang De Basanti .. newer generation was compared to Freedom Fighters and like in Lage Raho Munna Bhai -we had Non Violence portest Heroes, I am seeing very comparble Heroes in the Immigration Voice Core team. we don't have to agree and support everything. IV does what benefits majority of the people (directly or indirectly)
