If it works the way it says, the EB-2 quota stay at EB-2 for oversubscribed country, then why there's no movement for EB-2 China? Something is not right.

if you all use little more IQ, you will realize that only with donation/money you will make a difference.
We all are here to make someone rich(employers, local businesses). So if you can make polititians rich, they will do something for you!
So stop calling... start donating to IV...

Money is important and has its place in the process. Grass roots effort is also important. What would you tell if some one asks which eye is more important to you? left or right? If this Q was a stretch, ignore it. I just used it to tell that $$ and grass roots efforts are important
Money does not get every thing done. Corp America is doing everything they can to get H1B numbers increased. Do you think they are being stingy with the money they need to spend? They have stronger opposing grass roots groups like Numbers USA, FAIR etc. Our issue is a lot less volatile compared to the H1B increase issue. How ever our issue is unknown to many lawmakers until recently. I am positive that some members came to know about the bills when we called them or have been approached by our state chapters.

I had my interview on 22nd Jan at chennai. Counsulate approved my visa and collected my passport . They did not return my passport for 8 days. On enquiry I found passport was under PIMS verification
On ninth day, I got the passport back along with 221g blue form, asking me to submit through dropbox original 797 AND 156-157 forms.
Anyone else has similar experience? How long woule it take after the submission to get my case processed.

Masti_guy - Don't worry about not having an MS. If people with MS move out of the queue the queue will autmatically move forward. There are a number of MS engineers working in EB3 positions especially the one who have never changed employers after they got out of school..

There is always a chance that a well publicized (we are working on that part!) rally might attract opposition to the rally.
I wholeheartedly think that this gesture would be seen as fairly "american" and could defuse tension if it arises. Plus it would link back nicely to the flower campaign as well, and the eventual destination of the bouquets sent.
Political stance on wars aside, I don't think there are many people who don't support the lives on the line.

I am sorry, not a computer guy, but can mass mailing for funding alerts from IV be possible to "loyal customers only"? I am not sure I am giving the right idea/ thought. But what I am thinking is lets say this Administrative cost re-imbursment works, can we send to selected 1000- 2000 non-core member like anzerraja or khodalmd (for example) and ask them to send money? Like how these sticky works...just a solid click and send money sticky. Or I dont know ask everyone...see how many people come in and divide the money...it can be 100 or more.

Can we each leave a 'personalized note' on how much we have contributed in Federal / State / Social Security taxes + Medicare / etc.???? Even a rough order estimate... to get them to listen to us seriously.
Is this something that IV can help co-ordinate?
1. State-wise, collect estimates of taxes paid till date
2. Collect the data (anonymously, of course) and send a written brief to each Senator in that state - making a clear economic case to how we contribute
3. Collect the data (nationally, with statistical analysis thrown in) and send a written brief to all Senators - making a case at a national level.
We need eye-popping numbers, charts and quotes ... to continue the PR around high skilled immigrant needs.

It's a good suggestion, but I think free period should last only for a couple of weeks.
Suggestion: IV membership should be free for the first 3 months, after which there should be a minimum $20/per month to keep your membership and log in.
Also at that time a member needs to update his/her profile to include contact information. This way we encourage new people to come study the issues, gain trust with IV.

Is it true that for a company w/ more than 100 employees, a statement letter from the CFO will be adequate as a proof for ability to pay? What info should the CFO be included in the letter?
I was so screwed by my lawyer in the LC process so I plan on DIY for the I-140 & 485.

Keep an eye on all the economic indicators and you will do good for yourself and your family.
