1994 Callaway Camaro

You have to love Callaway Cars. They build cars the way they should have been built in the first place.

This is a 1994 Callaway Camaro. According to the seller, the engine has been modified and now puts out 450 HP. (The standard Callaway Camaro engine put out "just" 405.)

What makes Callaway's cars so great is that they don't just drop a turbo on the engine and push the car out the door. They modify the car to handle all the new HP. In this case the chassis uses a strut brace across the engine to stiffen the front end and subframe connectors to make the unibody more rigid. Different springs and shocks stiffen the ride, while the vented disc brakes come from Brembo and are 13 -inch at the front and 11-inch at the rear. The Callaway Camaro turns a very, very respectable .94g on the skid pad. Callaway also offered a full body kit, which this car doesn't have. (It doesn't need one, anyway. This, the 4th version of the Camaro, is a great looking car in my eyes.)

The seller says this Callaway Camaro has 70,000 miles on it. He describes it as "a beautiful car that runs great". However, he also writes, "The car has been sitting for the last 5 years so (it) needs a little tlc". He doesn't say what kind of TLC it needs.

This is just one 0f 13 Callaway Camaros built. Even needing a little "TLC", the asking price of $17,000.00 seems reasonable.
