what do you mean by supporting IV?
If you are talking about financial donations below model works best for me.
lets say IV core comes up with COST of doing X,Y, Z fixes within XX weeks.
COST is shared among wishing to donate. This becomes like a product purchase.
Current model is not time bound nor result oriented.
Again I am not anti-IV or anything. I am just expressing my idea!

1.4.6 A pregnant inmate shall not be restrained while in labor, while giving birth, or during the post-partum recovery period, unless requested by attending medical staff or as specifically directed by the Warden. If restraints are necessary in any manner under such conditions, they should be the least restrictive type possible to remain consistent with sound security practices.
So the warden can still order restraints.

there is such a huge backlog for Indians that even the news above won't help much... overflow from family category has slowed down and previous recaptured visas are over ..the news that CIR has been delayed could be good as there is higher chance that there maybe some sort of relief ..other than that the situation is HOPELESS !!!

My passport was renewed by Consulate of Chicago and the fields last name and first name were interchanged.
I used the miscellaneous service form. The reason i gave was other and also did not fill my name on the form. I took it to the consulate along with my old passport and showed them the error. They agreed to make a correction and then I filled in the name on the miscellaneous service form the the way i wanted it to look like.
They provided an endorsement on the second page of the passport and this should be good for travel and all other purposes. I did not need an affidavit as the old passport was used as the proof.
I believe you should be able to use the same.

Please stop using condescending remarks. I have been reading all your posts and your tone is going from bad to worst. It is not possible to place all the threads on the home page. We make a decision to put threads on the home page that we believe are important for our effort. If you feel otherwise, that is ok. But it is not ok for you to use derogatory language. If you feel so passionate, why don't you start your organization and spend your time, energy and resources and advocate for the cause instead of posting derogatory messages for others. It is very easy to fire when the gun is on someone else shoulder. We understand and share the frustration with green card delays, but that does not give you license to use derogatory language. Everyday there is new thread asking for update, leadership, direction etc. It is not practical to reply to every such post on this forum. That too does not give you license to use derogatory language. In last over 2.5 years we have answered many thousands questions in forums, emails and phone calls. I have heard many a times from my fellow team mates that not once did anyone receive a Thank you note from someone after that someone was fully able to resolve the situation after receiving reply from my colleagues at IV. None of us spend time on this cause to receive a Thank you note, however, posts like yours makes us wonder that are we a community of thankless educated immigrants who are so obsessed with our individual case that all that we want is instant gratification to exactly know the current status of our green cards, without which automatically IV is at fault. Just so that you know, people spend 30 sometimes 40 hours a week over the period of years, just to read a post from someone like you. We received a call at 12:30am yesterday from someone asking about changing to another company because his current employer was not being fair. So when you mock, please make it clear that you are not the one standing in the line of fire and you are not the one who wants to stand in the line of fire. You just wants to be the one to mock and ridicule. If you are serious about taking the baton, please let us know your phone number and we will post it on the website so that people can call you when they have a question. I came to the US in 1998 for a Masters program. After graduating in 1999 December, I took up a job with XXX,in yyy city in Jan 2000.
XXX applied for a labor cert in July 2001 under EB3 category traditional processing and I am still waiting...there has been no movement in my application at all and it is April 2006 now.
In Fall 2003, I joined an executive MBA program at University of XXX, YYY city (ranked # zz globally) and completed the program in May 2005. I have not been able to take up any job that I can use any of my two graduate degrees and my MBA is pretty much going waste right now because I can't change jobs. The job description for an MBA job isn't the same as an IT specialist for which my labor cert was filed back in 2001. I got a Marketing Manager position job within XXX in Jan 2006. But I was unable to transfer because of the same reason. I have been told not to search anymore for management jobs because there is no point in getting them unless I get my greencard.

Hi, Please let me know your thought on my situation. I was on H1 thru Company A. I don't have pay stubs for the last 3 months of 2005 since i was on bench, but got the salary that is mentioned on LCA in pay stubs till end of Sept. When I asked my employer to pay me for the time on bench he said that he has paid the LCA salary and doesn't have to pay.

We have known Rosa Park personally and she was a speaker at one of our meetings and let me tell you none of you are close to what she was.
It looks like you are planning to go to DC. There is big difference between planning and execution. You folks are theoritical and not practical. This time the bus will be empty. You just don't have it in you. Take it from me.
