This car is in amazing shape. Unfortunately, the 2 Door Sport Sedan is not a lot of fun to drive, especially with an automatic transmission.
This is one of those cars that would be really cool to own if you're a huge Opel Kadett fan and are looking for a near-perfect example of an unusual car.

1967 Toyota 2000GT - A Toyota with an asking price that's $100K shy of three-quarters-of-a-million-dollars is not the typical JaCG car. But, this is so unusual and so cool, I had to post it. It probably deserves to be more than a "Weekend Quickie", but it's so rare to see one of these come up for sale (especially on eBay) that I wanted to point it out right away.It's a little hard to believe now, but 45 years ago Japanese cars weren't taken very seriously by Western car makers or consumers. The perception was that they built cheap, throw-away car-like appliances. This car started to change that perception. Western consumers consumers took notice. Foolishly, Western auto manufacturers did not.
The 2000GT was a collabrative effort between Yamaha and Toyota. The body was designed by a man with the very important sounding name of Albrecht Graf von Schlitz genannt von Gortz von Wrisburg, but who was more commonly known as Albrecht Goertz. Goertz had designed the BMW 507. The engine was a Toyota 2 liter inline 6 with a Yamaha DOHC head.
The 2000GTs sales numbers were tiny (as the seller mentions, there were just 351 of these cars were built and ony 84 were LHD), but the impact it left in the minds of the consumers was huge.
